Daily Vocab Privacy Policy

Effective date: July 16, 2026

Daily Vocab ("the app") is operated by Sangha Designs. This policy explains what information the app collects, how it is used, and the choices you have.

Summary

Information we collect

Anonymous device identifier. On first launch, the app creates a random identifier (UUID) and stores it on your device. This ID is sent to our servers with requests so we can return a stable set of words for your device each day. It is not your name, email, phone number, or Apple ID.

App usage needed to run the service. When you open the app, refresh a word, or use related features, we may receive:

Information stored on your device. The app caches today's words, pronunciation audio, and widget data locally on your device and in the app's shared container so the app and Home Screen widget can load quickly.

How we use information

We use the information above only to:

What we do not collect

Third-party services

The app communicates with our Cloudflare Worker backend to fetch vocabulary content. That backend may store your anonymous device identifier, daily word selections, and related app-state data needed to operate the service. We do not display third-party advertising in the app.

Data retention

Server-side data tied to your anonymous device identifier is kept only as long as needed to operate the app and provide daily vocabulary features. Cached content on your device remains until the app updates or removes it.

Children's privacy

The app is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Your choices

You can stop all data collection by deleting the app from your device. Deleting the app removes locally stored data, including the anonymous identifier stored on your device.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The effective date at the top of this page will be revised when changes are posted.
